About PaathShala

In an effort to address the prevailing challenges encountered by Anganwadi centers, PaathShala is committed to systematically addressing the issues commonly faced by these centers. We do so through a comprehensive curriculum, a team of well-trained staff and teachers, and a centralized platform overseeing the centers’ activities and operations. PaathShala has devised an independent, self-sustainable framework to efficiently manage and autonomously operate Anganwadi centers throughout the nation. This framework not only delivers education to children in remote and tribal regions but also catalyzes overall community development. Our educational approach is in alignment with the National Educational Policy of 2020.

Our Story

The PaathShala Initiative was conceptualized and founded by Mrs Kusum Jain, an educationist, who has been in the field of education for the last 18 years – envisions a world where no child grows up without the proper tools to survive in this world despite what their family can provide for them.

‘PaathShala’ is a programme that creates safe, hygienic and sustainable preschools for children between the ages of 2 and 7 in remote villages and tribal communities with little to no access to preschools or Anganwadis. Here we train teachers and equip them with a quality curriculum to teach children in English, in an atmosphere without stress. Learning should be continuously evolving, explorative and create a life-long impact in a child’s life. It should be able to equip a child with all the skills and experiences they need to create a better future for themselves.
